Evaluation of Urban Flood Resilience Enhancement Strategies—A Case Study in Jingdezhen City under 20-Year Return Period Precipitation Scenario

Various flood resilience enhancement measures have been proposed to deal with the growing problem of urban flooding. However, there is a lack evaluation about applicability these at community scale. This paper investigates effects two types measures: engineering and adaptive measures, in order explore their effectiveness different flood-prone communities. A community-scale oriented assessment method used assess impact measures. case study applied three communities that suffer from waterlogging problems Jingdezhen city, China. Results show are spatial differences Future scenarios present poorer performance compared current due urbanization human activities. Engineering suitable for old high-density residential areas when sitting alongside river, example Fuliang Zhushan. On other hand, exhibit more efficiency improving all communities, especially effective new city town Changjiang where nearly saturated.
